It’s a lovely problem! The texture, the detail and the gorgeous colour – you just have to touch! That’s exactly what they’re made for.
Well, once you know a little about what each type of 3D cast has to offer, you soon know which one is right for you.
Take our lead crystal glass, with its many luminous colours and subtle beauty. This type of 3D cast is a true showpiece, often placed in lit display cabinets or by nearby candles, to enhance the translucent qualities of the glass. And while the other two types of cast have a durable toughness, crystal glass has an altogether more refined character, just like the elegant poise of a cat – drawing your gaze, but touch gently!
Traditional foundry-cast bronze – now that’s a completely different experience. The first thing you notice is the incredible weight! It’s the authentic feel and heft of an age old craft, still proudly practiced in the UK, as it has been for many hundreds of years.
But there’s much more to solid bronze than weight. The capture of detail is superb, with every little line and wrinkle perfectly preserved. And the joy of heavy solid bronze is that it’s designed to be touched, held, turned in your hand to notice new detail for years to come. Many tones and hues are also available, for incredible polished shiny bronze, to the deeper notes of toffee and treacle browns.
Then there’s metal resin 3D casts. Similar in character to the traditional solid foundry bronze casts, but at a fraction of the cost. That’s because metal resin isn’t solid bronze, but a mix of resin and real metal powder. The result – all the look, feel and detail of premium solid bronze with slightly less weight, but much more affordable, and with a choice of 4 different metals (aluminium, black iron, gunmetal and bronze).
So which one suits you? Glowing glass, heavyweight premium bronze or the metal resin range?
They’re all in our product range, so take a look and discover which suits your home and budget best!
